What is CMAS (commercial mobile alert service)?

The CMAS program started in the United States in 2006. It is used in cases of emergency, the president could be in touch with the public. The CMAS network will permit the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to acknowledge and aggregate alerts from the President of the United States, and state and local emergency operations centers, and then transfer the alerts over a protected interface to taking part commercial mobile service providers (CMSPs). These participating CMSPs will then distribute the alerts to their customer. between the issuance of the second and third Report & Order documents.
