What is AfriNIC (African Network Information Center)?

The AFRINIC Database is a public data set that contains data about enrolled IP address space and AS numbers, steering policies, and reverse DNS delegations in the AFRINIC region. Its headquarters are in Ebene, Mauritius. The AFRINIC Board comprises a nine-member Board of Directors. Six of the directors are chosen to address the distinctive sub-regions, while two directors are chosen to serve on the Board-based on ability instead of territorial portrayal. The last member of the Board is filled by the Chief Executive Officer. Elections are held at each AFRNIC Annual General Meeting (AGMM), which is conducted around May/June every year.
