The Multi-Operator Core network is a functionality that allows a network operator to provide shared radio access. It is a Network Sharing technique. In traditional networks, a single RAN is connected to a single Core Network . with the help of MOCN functionality, Single RAN can be connected to multiple CNs. In MOCN, operators can also share frequencies; this prevents the operators from being able to control their networks at the cell level. In this, each operator operates its own core network, including one or more independent nodes where multiple cores may coordinate with each other regarding interference, backhaul, traffic prioritization, authentication etc.
